It's Been Weeks!

Hi Everyone! It has been weeks since I last updated my blog. But anyway, here are just some minor updates about what has been happening in the last few weeks. First and Foremost: I sold my Picanto It was very saddening when I had to sell my Picanto. I sold it because I won't be using it during my attachment and my NS days. Three years of letting my car stuck at home and paying the installments is rather a heavy burden, hence the reason for selling it. Oh wells, who knows, maybe my next car would be an Audi! Hahas. ~wishful thinking Secondly: I have started my work at The Fullerton Hotel I must say, the orientation really was very helpful in helping me settle down at the hotel. I got to meet new people, make new friends and also know a little more information about the hotel. Currently I am in the Housekeeping Department and assigned as a Room Attendant till end of July. And I really thank God that my off currently is on every Sunday, which means that I can go Church and still serve. Hahas. Though making up the room can be really tiring at times, its really fulfilling after a day's work! =) Yeah, guess I shall blog till here then! Will update more when I can!

Awesome Service!

Today I felt so refreshed and so recharged after service. Its been such a long time since I felt that way. God totally broke me down today and I just enjoy weeping in the presence of God. The Father's Day Drama Production was totally awesome and heartwarming as well! Well, God is really moving in the Church and I feel that greater things have yet to come because there are so many upcoming and exciting stuffs that are going to happen! Zone services, prayer 365, overnight prayer meetings and etc.! After service, headed down to California Fitness Gym at Orchard with Changhan and Kenny. We each had a personal trainer to our own. And yes, I was so out of shape that after the workout, I literally felt like throwing up and went blanked. My ears couldn't hear and my eyes couldn't see. But at least thank God I am fine. I'm still contemplating whether I want to sign up as a member at California Fitness Gym though. Hahas. So my plans for next week? 1. Service my car 2. Shop and shop 3. Watch drama serials 4. Diana's friend's 21st birthday 5. KTV session 6. Prayer meeting 7. SOS bs 8. Guitar Lessons 9. Submit closure report and contract Guess those are the plans so far. May add or subtract! Hahas.

Morning people! Yesterday I had a blast over at Benjamin's place. Although it was more like a fellowship session, but really, it was truly a blast for me to be able to share with a close brother. And he opened a bottle of Ice Wine which costs 100+ for me. Gosh! hahs. Besides that, I picked up some skills about photography and he shared with me about his experiences and all. Really, it was a session which taught me alot about myself, inspired me to do something new and also allowed me to experience first-hand for myself what Elixir Strings can do for a guitar! Hahs. Benjamin, if you're reading this, I just want to say thank you for being such a wonderful brother to me, a closed friend indeed! Yesterday I went to Tampines and shop around as well. It was the first time in my life that I literally shopped for like 4 hours! And what's more, I felt that it wasn't really enough. Hahas. There are so many things I want to get during this Great Singapore Sale. I so want to get a new watch, an Iphone, a new shaver, a new belt, a classy pen and loads and loads of clothings! Hahas. The only thing I managed to get yesterday was an ear-ring and an extension cable for my earphones. Hahas. Oh wells, I shall get moving to prepare myself for Church service and to California Fitness gym for a workout! =D

The End of A Beautiful Chapter

Its an irony that my previous post was something to be happy about, something to celebrate about, while this post signifies the end of that beautiful post of a 2 years 3 months relationship. It saddens my heart deeply and greatly to such an extent that I do not know how or what to feel anymore. I believe everyone who has gone through a break-up will know what I meant by needles that pierces the heart. Over the last 2 years, my life was full of joy, so full of abundance. Sadly, all good times have to come to an end. I wished I was dreaming, I wished it had never even happened at all. But what's left is the reality that I have to face once again. I thought taking my life away was the best thing to do, but the very thought of losing my family and friends discourages me to do so. Have I ever slipped into depression? Yes I have and I still am trying to overcome that period. Do I feel alone? Yes I do and its so hard to get over that feeling. What are my future plans? Well, I don't know, perhaps forget the past, letting it go, and moving on with my life as a normal ordinary person. My attachment will being on 6 July at the Fullerton Hotel. Perhaps during this 1 year internship, it will be the duration of time for me to heal, for me to get restored again. Do I miss my past? Yes I do, because it leaves and imprints in me so huge an impression that I will never ever forget the longest relationship I ever have had. Well, as I was walking along the Singapore River today, I noticed the City Skyline and this strange but yet beautiful thought came to me. How is it that people who don't know one another or who have yet to know one another, can come together as one and go on to become a couple? Its amazing I feel. Two unknown strangers coming together, letting one another into each other's lives and become an amazing item. I guess that is what love is all about. I shan't bore anyone anymore. I will move on with life and settle myself in my own lonely world. ps. I will be changing my contact details soon. Will inform closed and loved ones in due time. Loves.

WOW! It has been such a long time since I last blogged. Have been about 4 months I supposed. Well, life's been good and yes, I have turned 21! This means greater responsibilities for me! I'm currently in my final school term and will be going for my internship soon in July. That's in about less than 2 months time. This means that I am going to step into the working society and face the pressure and expectations required of an adult. I'm excited no doubt, but the thought of having to juggle work/Church/relationships seems pretty boggling I would say. I really do wonder how the adults do it. Hahas. Well, I guess I am going to revamp my blog and blog about more practical issues soon. Hahs. Okies then. That's all for now!

My Best Valentine's Day Ever!

Hi Everyone, today is February the 14th and its Valentine's Day! I have to say, this is the best Valentine's Day I have ever celebrated in my life. Well, for today, Darls and I met up at about 1:45PM and we headed to Escape Theme Park and actually went for two rides. The first one was the Log Flume Ride and the second one was the Daytona Go Kart. After which, we went down to Charcoal Restaurant and had our dinner. I must say, the menu was totally awesome. The food was really up to our expectations and we were very satisfied with the dining experience there. They also gave a stalk of rose to every lady who was dining there as well. With our stomach filled, we left for Esplanade for the Korean Breakout Dance Comedy Show! I was kinda upset that Esplanade didn't have enough carpark lots and we had to park at Fullerton Hotel. Hence, resulted us in being late for the first 5-10 minutes of the show. But that aside, the show was excellent! I give it two thumbs up! We also took loads of photographs today! Darls also gave me a really really nice gift. She got me the Samsung P3 MP3 Player! And yes, I am indeed really happy and blessed to have such a loving girlfriend! Thank God for my Darls! Darls, if you're reading this, I just want to say that I love You! =D

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hi Everyone, today is the 5th day of the Chinese New Year! Hahs. So here's wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! School has been really tiring and tough. Loads of projects, assignments and work to do. But then again, thank God this term I only have 5 modules to take, which kinda lighten my workload and also free up more time for me to give guitar lessons and do more stuffs such as attending Bible Studies. Anyway, this Chinese New Year has been such a great harvest especially when the economy is not doing so well. My family and relatives have really been very generous with their giving. So i feel really blessed. Alright then, nothing much to blog for the moment except that I will be going to Zhen Zhao's place later for cellgroup steamboat gathering and also drop by Beng Seet's place to bai nian. =) Okies then, till the next post! =D

A New Year, A New Start!

Hi Everyone, its the year 2009 and this is my first post for the year. For you faithful readers out there, my apologies for not having blog for such a long period of time due to my busy schedule lately. If you have noticed, I have also just changed my blogskin! Now that school has started, I am more than determined to really do well for my studies. With my current term more theory based, I have to really put in the extra effort to do pre-reading and to do post-revision. Since it is a new year, I do have some resolutions and I'm definitely going to have faith in myself and make sure that at the end of this year, I would have achieved all my goals that I have laid out. This year is also a crucial year for me as I would be embarking on my year long attachment in July. And... what's more.. I am going to turn 21 this year! A step into adulthood soon. This only means one thing. More responsibilities! Oh wells, life in 2009 is going to be really exciting and I am so looking forward to it. Stay tuned for further updates yeah! =)

Blessed Day it is..

Today has been an awesome day for myself. I collected the couple tees that darls and i gotten and went to watch the movie, "Bolt" alone. Well, the movie is very touching and i shan't go into details because you should really catch it. Disney movies always have a special meaning behind them and i just love Disney movies. I can't wait for the next one to come out. In fact, i am drawn to their movies and i am an avid fan of theirs. Hahs. I also got my car serviced yesterday and it now feels amazing. The brake and the accelerator are more responsive now. Hees. Well, tomorrow i am going to catch another movie, "Beast Stalker" and perhaps alone again as well, meet up with my cellgroup members to prepare door gifts for Christmas and then head down for a pre-trip briefing to China. Then on thursday, i most probably will be preparing for my trip and then friday, i'm off to China till the 28th. Well, i just feel quite excited about what is to come and i really thank God for all the amazing things that He has done for me this whole entire year. After today's meeting, i felt renewed in my mind and also felt that there is much work to be done. Truly indeed, God moves in a powerful way and i won't limit what God can do in my life because there is just no limit to what God can do. My slogan shall be, "Greater Desire, Greater Passion and Greater Love!" Till the next post then!

Exams are Finally OVER!!!

Hi Everyone,

the exams are finally over and i am so excited because i finally have a 1 month holiday. The exams were pretty manageable and i hope to be able to score a few As. Well, next Friday i am flying to Beijing with my family and i won't be able to see darls for another week as she's in China this week and will only be back next Sunday.

Oh wells. I am definitely going to make full use of this one month to read more books and do more things. I definitely won't be working part-time as I now have my own job. Besides teaching the guitar, i am also doing events as well. Hence, if anyone need manpower for events, you can come and look for me.

Right now, darls and I have built our blogshop selling fashion clothings. We are still trying to fine tune our business and will officially register our business next year under ACRA. We are also still sourcing for ideas, suppliers and etc, so if you have any contacts, do drop us a mail too. A banner which links to our blogshop can be found at the left column of my blog. Hospitality Sales Project & Asia Conference

For the whole of this entire week and next week, my team will be focusing on our Hospitality Sales Project and we will definitely be working very hard so that we can score well for this project. Even though my team has a disadvantage as we were given one week lesser than other teams to complete our project, I fully believe that this is an opportunity to prove to others that my team is the best and that we will definitely outshine the rest of the teams. I believe that God will guide my team through this whole duration. Next week's project presentation will be a success! Asia Conference is coming up and I'm very excited about it. In fact, I am so looking forward to it. Sadly, my school schedule clashes with the conference electives which I have chosen and I will only be able to attend those which are held on Thursday. But oh wells, I will be going to Church next week from Wednesday to Sunday and nothing beats being in Church where God is! An Enjoyable Weekend @ Desaru

I just came back recently from a trip to Desaru. The place is pretty beautiful and nostalgic but many do not know where this place is. Well, it is situated in Johor itself. To go there, you can either take the coach (bus) or the ferry. We (Cindy, her parents & I) took the ferry to go there. There were many things that we did there as the itinery was pretty packed. We went to the Desaru Fruit Farm (as advertised and shown on Channel U) and there, we ate alot of fruits and had our buffet breakfast, lunch and BBQ dinner. The fruits we ate include dragonfruit, mango, papaya, watermelon, buah-long-long, banana, rambutan, jackfruit, pineapple, guava, jambu, and a whole lot more. At the fruit farm, we were given a tour of the place to learn about the fruits they grow and even got a chance to feed some animals at their mini zoo. Not only that, we were given an educational talk on bee handling and the medicinal benefits of bee products. The resort we stayed at was the Pulai Desaru Beach Resort. The place is pretty much like the chalets we have here in Singapore. Our room is a duplex with the bedroom on the 2nd storey and the living room on the 1st. I must say, the resort could have been more improved upon. Having took up a Diploma in Hotel Management, I feel that the resort lack security features for its guests, and its level of service provided to guests is very basic. Well, i supposed the highlights of the tour were the fireflies and crocodiles. For the fireflies visit, I was not able to capture any shot as it was quite dark. But well, we sat on this huge boat, able to accomodate up to 80 people, and set sail for the river banks where there were alot of forests and trees. Along the river banks, we saw that the trees shone like Christmas Trees with Lights and knew that it was the fireflies. There were many of them and it was quite an amazing sight. As for the crocodile farm, they had so many crocodiles around that it gets pretty boring after a while. What was interesting for me was that Cindy and I got the chance to carry a baby crocodile and even took a photo with it. And, besides this, we had much fun during this trip and even won ourselves prizes for taking part in competitions. All in all, this trip was indeed a FRUITFUL and enjoyable one. Well, now that I'm back in Singapore, I do have a lot of things to do. Project deadlines are nearing and we are all tryin get our projects done in time. The killer project would be the Hospitality Sales. It would be useful and helpful if he could actually go through the project brief thoroughly with us and explain the details. But wells, then again he didn't even want to go through the progress test with us. Cindy's in Pulau Ubin right now for OBS Camp and will be back only this Friday. Lonely, I am so lonely, I have nobody... on my own!! Alright, till the next time i blog then! ps. Patience is Indeed A Virtue

Nowadays, people have been asking me questions and then answering their own questions themselves. I mean, if they already think that they know the answer, then there's no need to ask right? And even if they ask just because they want to confirm that their answers are right, then be courteous enough to admit any mistake if my answer is the right one. I do get agitated sometimes over this issue. Perhaps I really need to develop more patience and be more gentle. Today, I shall post up 3 steps to finding an answer to a question. Step 1. Know & Understand the Question For e.g. Is a Powerpoint Presentation required for the Property Maintenance Module Project? Step 2. Figure Out the Possible Answers to the Question In this case, the possible answers are very straightforward. It is 50-50 chance that you either get the answer right or the answer wrong. So, its either a YES or a NO. Step 3. Source for All Possible Leads to the Correct Answer Here, you can do the following: A. You can ask a friend B. You can ask a teacher C. You can figure it out yourself If you ask a friend, you can choose to follow his/her answer or disagree with him/her. Ultimately, the answer will still be a 50-50. Should you try to figure it yourself, then follow what your heart tells you. Again, the answer will still be a 50-50. But if you ask a teacher, the answer is definitely 100% correct. Hence, the solution to the problem is to find out the answer from the one who gave the problem. I don't proclaim myself to be an expert in everything that I do. Hence, the reason why I am still learning even till this day. Given a problem, I will usually figure out the answer myself (with faith), discuss the answer with my friends (process of edifying/rebuking) and then confirm with the person who gave the problem (revelation). Note: All problems can be solved. There are no problems that can't be solved. Every problems comes with solutions. Hence, problems and solutions are inseparable. Hope this little post have inspired everyone who still visits my blog. =)

New Blogskin!

Hi Everyone! Firstly, i apologise for not blogging as i have been rather caught up with my school work and also other commitments. Nonetheless, as you can see, i have just changed my blogskin to something fresh! Oh wells, hopefully this will give me a sense of motivation to continue blogging. For the rest of the remaining year, my schedule is quite packed already and i hope to end this year strong! Some highlights for me would include my exams, an 8-days holiday trip to Beijing with my family, a 2-days getaway trip with Cindy's family to Desaru, Asia Conference 2008 and so much more. Of course i will try to put up some pictures on my blog and update everyone with snippets of my life. My transcript for my previous term should be out anytime soon, so pray for me people! Hahas. I really do hope my GPA would increase slightly and not decrease. There are also so many things I really want to do for the cellgroup and connect group but somehow, I just don't know where to start either. In addition, I am still pondering how else I can take up a sponsored drumming course. Sound advise anyone? Hmms... 0.0?

Alrights, people have been complaining to me that i haven't blog for so long a time. Well, here it is. Hahas. Its the 2nd week of October already and time really flies ever since school has started. In total, i have 7 modules to take this term and 6 projects to complete. Its definitely not going to be easy but i'm sure its not impossible. Anyway, i have been driving my Pica around the streets of Singapore and i really do need to be able to adapt to the way of driving here in Singapore. I shan't rant on but i hope to be able to improve myself, drive more safely and get a better control of the car. Yeps. And, two of my friends just got enlisted today. Gees. I'm like the only one left? hahas. Oh wells. Here's wishing them all the best in camp and to take care! Other than that, that's all i have to blog. =) ps. and yes, though my darls darls and myself are so occupied with school, one thing's for sure, i miss her like crazy cause she's the bestest darls darls in the w.w.w. (whole wide world).! hees =D

First Day Of School

Well, holidays are now over and its back to school. I totally enjoyed myself over the weekends at Malaysia. Was nice meeting all my cousins back in Malaysia and the celebration for my grandma's birthday went on pretty well. I guess its the company of people that makes the entire event totally awesome. I have yet to receive the photos for the birthday celebration but when i do, i shall post it up on either Facebook or right here on my blog. =) Now that school has just started, the timetable and curriculum this term is definitely quite tough. Lessons start at 8.30am and end at 5.30pm almost everyday. I have four modules which are three pointers and three other modules which are two pointers. Lessons are really packed back to back and i got to pace myself off in gear 5. As the Chinese saying goes, suffer first, enjoy later. No doubt its going to be my toughest term yet, the good news is that i won't have much modules left to take for the next two terms and after which, i would embark on my yearlong attachment. Hopefully i will still be able to maintain my GPA and pull it up to at least 3.8 Oh wells, guess i shall blog till here then. *tataX*

Its been 17 days...

WOW, it has been 17 days since i last blogged and many things have happened whilst i was gone from blogging. Well, for one, i finished my exams and oh boy, i am so glad i finished it well. The papers were manageable and i thank God for His peace and presence while i was doing the paper. I also want to apologise to all my classmates who have been asking me questions which i haven't been able to answer them so yeah, forgive me as my revision for my papers were done on the actual day of the examination. And this whole week is a breakaway from school. Timetable is not out yet but i seriously do wonder how come the timetable needs to take so long a time to be processed. Its already Wednesday and there is no news or whatsoever with regards to the books that we have to purchase and etc. I do wish and hope that the school's administrative team would be more efficient/productive and effective. The next few days is going to be jam packed for me so i really do need the strength to keep myself going. I won't be around in Singapore from Saturday to Sunday because i would be going to Malaysia to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday. Its quite a big event and we were told to expect video crew filming the entire event and hence, we got to dress our best. I would also be staying at Ritz Carlton for a night in Malaysia. Hees. So now i can apply what i have learnt in frontoffice operations and put it to good use. Hahs. Well, at least i can observe how the hotel is being run and etc. Sounds exciting though. But that means i would not be able to attend service! =( And i have an even more exciting piece of news. Hahas. I'm going to get my first car soon! Hopefully it will be ready by next week. Breakthrough Coming!

Hi Everyone, its been ages since i last blogged eh. Hahas. Oh wells, the coming and following week would be rather packed for me as i would be having my project presentations and also my revision for my examinations. On top of that, i would be attending the NCC Day Dinner and may also be involved in an outside-catering job for school. My intermediate guitar course is also coming to an end soon. In fact, the coming and following week would be the assessment tests. And and and, next Friday my cellgroup would be holding a combined mooncake festival event at riverwalk. I bet its gonna be an exciting time! As you can see, its going to be a jam-packed but fun & exciting week for me. Hahas. Yeps, so guess i shall just update till here then. =D

Hellos, i'm here to blog today! Anyway, just as i thought today would just be another day, oh boy, i was so so wrong. In fact, today taught me a lesson from the Bible which i've just experienced for myself. Please read the following excerpt from the bible and i shall continue after the excerpt.

The Parable of the Lost Son

11Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. 12The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.

Well, i felt like the prodigal son at times, but now i realised how great and magnificent God's love towards mankind is. No matter how sinful we humans have been, God's love and mercy is always there for us. He never leaves us nor forsake us but is always there rooting His support for us. Man may not be perfect, but God is perfect. And it is only through our imperfections that we are made perfect. Its time for me to rise up to another level of breakthrough! Anyway, that aside, i was driving my uncle's BMW today and the feeling was 'ooh la la'. I would say its a pretty high tech and cool car. Oh wells, i am so gonna get my car soon, but not a BMW, i'm not so rich, probably just a normal korean/japanese car. Yeps yeps. Shall blog till here then.

Junk Food

Hi peeps, I'm here to blog again. Well, nowadays I've been really lazy to blog and hence, not much of a post nowadays. Recently, I've been consuming too much junk food such as (potato chips, seaweeds, drinks high in sugar) and etc. So I haven't really been keeping a proper diet. Not that I'm overweight now, but I need to re-look at my diet and start eating healthily. Maybe eating junk food once in a while is still alright but not every single time. Anyway, I have changed my email address and all. I also won't be using Friendster anymore. So, the only networking site which I am still using would be Facebook. Close friends who wishes to contact me can still do so via my tagboard here on my blog so that I can reveal more ways for you to contact me. Looks like weeding and pruning my contacts will take perhaps another 1 to 2 days to finish. Having fiddled around with my computer for hours today, i think my computer skill has gone up a notch higher. Hahas. I haven't been practising my guitar and drums. Feel so guilty. Lols. But seriously, I have no time this week to do my usual stuffs because of Tourism and History Project. Oh wells. Tomorrow I shall start working on the Tourism Project Report which is to be due next Monday and as for History Project, get things started and finalised by next Monday bahs. Gees, all my friends are enlisting already. More or less left me, myself and I. How sad. Oh wells, shall make sure that I study hard, get my diploma and further my studies! Guess I shall blog till here then.

Unity is a very vital and important thing to have in an organisation, be it in schools or in any other sectors. Only with unity can we then achieve great things. It is true of this old chinese saying, "A stick will break when bended, but with more sticks of the same kind combined, the harder it is for them to break". I truly sincerely hope that this incident will not cause any divisions/dis-unity in the class and that as a whole, we will be able to go through this period of turbulence together and get back to where we started. Despite the conflicts, I feel that we need to have mutual understanding with one another so as to allow room for one another to make mistakes. Its only through mistakes that we learn our lesson and use it as a stepping stone towards our success in life. Words that came out from the tongue may be hurtful/harsh and this makes it even more important for us to guard our hearts, thoughts and deeds. Even a foolish man who keeps silent and says nothing appears to be wise. Therefore, we always need to think twice before speaking because what we say may be a matter of life and death. We can choose to either speak life into our situations or speak death into our situations. Henceforth, speak about life, and life more abundantly! However tense the situation may have become now, let us give one another the time & chance to heal/to restore and to mend the broken friendships/relationships. Its Time!

Haven't been blogging for quite a while but alot of things have happened though. Hahas. Maybe I shall start from 8 August onwards. 8 August 2008 I didn't went to school as I got to head down to Bartley to collect my award. As proof that I didn't pontang (skip) school, here's a photo of my fellow friends and I who gotten the award. 9 August 2008 It's National Day and well, no watching of fireworks for me. It was a day where I totally spent the whole day out with Cindy and we actually went to Pasir Ris Park to chill out. I was there blading while Cindy was there cycling. As I didn't have any protective gears of my own, I rented a set, put everything on except for my elbow guard. Well, I don't like the smell of sweat you see and the rented protection guards have been used by like so many people, so I just put everything on except for the elbow guards, thinking that I can't be so bad at blading that I would fall on my elbows. Then after blading for a while, we came to this place solely for blading practice and I was trying out my moves. Being so confident, I increased my speed and wanted to do a 360 Degrees turn and execute a T-Stop and lo and behold, I fall and landed on my elbow. Here's a negative demonstration of how I blade. When I get my positive demonstration video from Cindy, I'll see if I would post it up. Hahas.

Pardon for the video being horizontally shot. Lols. And here's a photo taken just today with regards to the damage being done to my elbow. Yeps. It still hurts a but now but not as bad as before. Lesson learnt? Yeah, wear full protective gear when blading! Hahas. So yesterday, my team members and I went to Singapore Discovery Centre to do a site visit for our Tourism Project. History and Math Progress Test

I had history and math progress test today. I have to say, i wasn't totally thoroughly prepared for it though. I did read through a bit but wells, wasn't exactly prepared. Either way, i was glad that i managed to answer most of the questions. Two progress tests down, left with 2 more (frontoffice and tourism). And i made a shocking discovery today (Nahs, not today la, but actually ages ago) that I am flat-footed. Now i know why the heels of my shoes are often ruptured/damaged and the sole of my shoes are slanted to a side. I hope this doesn't result in any complications though. Oh, and i need to blog about what happened at Training Restaurant (TR) today. I was supposed to have lunch with a bunch of my classmates. To cut the long story short, my drink was kinda ruined today and I totally had no mood to eat anymore. Its not that I am petty or can't take jokes with a pinch of salt. Its just that food and drinks to me are sacred. Yes, I know this may sound a little odd. But why not take a look from my point of view. Food and drink are essential to the human health as it ensures one to survive. By tampering my food and drink, it means that someone is not giving me the opportunity/decency to live my life in peace. I know that this is very exaggerated, but really, there are some essentials of human life that we cannot ignore or take lightly. I don't mind people playing pranks on me or whatsoever, but when it comes to stuffs that keeps me alive and kicking, please don't try. On a lighter note, National Day is coming and I just can't wait! Hahas. Time to dig out my red shirt and white pants to wear. Oh wells. Till then peeps! =)

Break From A Healthy Lifestyle...

Just when i really want to get into a healthy lifestyle and start exercising, i injured myself. How sad ehs? Wells, two lessons i learnt today- never to attempt urban skating until you're familiar with your skating skills and always to wear protective gears to protect yourself when you fall. Sounds kinda serious eh? But no worries, i have not landed myself in a hospital or whatsoever. Just that i will be taking a break from skating and also doing my static exercises due to my wrist injury and aching muscles. But then again, because i really want to improve my health so so much, i will be running in place of skating. Hahas. Since my leg's fine, i guess it shouldn't be any problem. Maybe i should start running 1.6KM first and then gradually increase my distance to 2.4KM and beyond. Yeps! Tertiary education has been taking a toll on my physical fitness. Hahas. Oh wells. Maybe when i do have the time, i shall go to East Coast Park (ECP) and skate. Its safer there with no cars. Lols. Anyway, i read this article a few days back Soy Reduces Sperm Count but this shall not deter me from having my favourite soya bean drink every morning! =D. Well, i do love drinking soya bean because its healthy and its gives me the necessary proteins to build up my body. I kinda dislike those protein mix obtainable from GNC because of the awful taste. Oh wells. And and and, Festival of Praise over the last two nights were awesome. God's presence was truly very tangible and Pastor Mark's sermon was timely and very relevant to me. I shall just focus on doing the things that matters and save those which are not urgent for later. =P Alrights, shall blog till here then. Time to have my dinner, hit the drums and do my revision!

Hey Everyone, its been a long time since i last blogged but well, a lot of things have been going on recently to actually type it down. Guess what i shall put up on my blog will be those highlights. Hahas. Come to think of it, i'm quite lazy to blog at times, or perhaps i'm to held up by other things to even bother to blog. But anyway, i finally gotten my new skates! Yups. I have always wanted to get a new skate for myself because i am so super duper interested in wanting to do inline skating. The last time i actually skated was like years ago and it was at East Coast Park (ECP). And last time, i rented skates as i didn't own one. So that only meant one thing, the skates were very much used and has quite a fair bit of bad odour. So well, now that i've got my own skate, i'm so looking forward to going to ECP or just do urban skating around my neighbourhood. Khakis are welcome! Hahs. Here's a picture of the skate that i bought at a rather affordable price of $179 nett. Besides inline skating, i recently rekindle my love for martial arts spurred on by two of my friends, Beng Seet & Alex. Beng Seet wants to do Aikido and Alex wants to Kendo. And for myself, I want to do Krav Maga. Oh wells, we will be visiting Fightworks Asia the following Monday to check out the Academy. Having practised a few moves in the comfort of my bedroom yesterday, i felt superly tired. Guess i need to do something about my fitness level soon before it deteriorates. And yay-ness, i won two tickets to Journey to the Middle of the Earth next Tuesday. Hahas. Nothing beats having freebies eh (So Singaporean-ish kind of mindset). Yups. I had dinner at Ramen Ten (i don't know if that's what its called) recently with Cindy and we were fooling around with our Phone Camera and the result of it? This picture of course was taken by Cindy and I looked Kuku in it. And this picture was taken by Yours Truly and it was like a failed experiment. Lols. Oh wells, but anyway, the restaurant we went to was situated at Ang Mo Mio's Jubilee where there's an Eng Wah Cinema located on the top level. The concept of the restaurant was somehow like the same as ThaiExpress, so it makes me wonder whether Ramen Ten is under the same restaurant chain of ThaiExpress. Well as for the food, I had Spicy Chicken Karrage Ramen, Salmon Sashimi, and for the drink, I had Kiwi Soda. Cindy had Spicy La-La Ramen. According to Cindy, her food was fantastic so i have got nothing to comment about that. For the Spicy Chicken Karrage Ramen that i had, it was spicy. Yes it was, but very spicy. And, the soup base was not that bad either. However, the chicken karrage was quite huge and hence, was not very chewable. It would be better if they were able to maintain the same portion of the chicken karrage but make it bite-size for the guests to consume. In other words, it should be smaller in size (physical) but similar in portion (weight). The Salmon Sashimi was quite standard, similar to what other Japanese restaurants are offering. And for the Kiwi Soda, it tasted like medicine. Cindy liked it though. Maybe it was a little too sweet for me i suppose. As for the level of service they provide, i would say that they are very much doing a very good job. The servers were very attentive and very polite. Maybe they can improve on their F&B product and store promotions knowledge, which would bring the guest experience to a notch higher. But nonetheless, we had an overall enjoyable experience at Ramen Ten and would definitely return to patronise them again. =) So much for what's been happening. Hahas. Alrights then. Some Feelings About Leadership

Hiya People, I am here to blog again and well, I hope nobody will take my current entry to heart because I really wish to iron out some issues before it is being blown into unwanted proportions. To become a Cadet Officer in the NCC, we have to go through 2.5 weeks of residential training at Amoy Quee Camp. Now, why do Cadets want to become a Cadet Officer in the first place? 2.5 weeks is a great deal of time which could have otherwise been spent to the greatest advantage of the individual. Furthermore, to become a Cadet Officer, one has to follow so much ethics and decorum, and there are so many guidelines to observe, so why do an individual still wishes to become a Cadet Officer after all the hassle? I wish to make this clear once and for all to all the Cadet Officers who may be reading this entry. By going for the Cadet Officer Course, you youself have pledged to uphold the ethics and decorum of becoming a Cadet Officer and to be committed in observing the guidelines that has been clearly spelt out by the Corps itself. If you feel that you can't follow them, then I would suggest that you leave the Corps. To those Cadets who are reading my entry and aspires to become a Cadet Officer, please think twice before even committing yourself to go for the Cadet Officer Course. The Corps have to spend so much money in order to get Cadet Officers trained, so what for waste the funds which could have otherwise been put to better usage? I am really disappointed at the way certain individuals have carried themselves. I understand that Polytechnics or certain educational institutions allows their students to dye their hair and let their hair be kept unreasonably long. But that does not mean that individuals can do so in the Corps as a Cadet Officer. I understand that every individual has a right to their own life but being appointed as a Cadet Officer, there are certain expectations needed. Yes, a Cadet Officer may equates to being a Volunteer. But please, its Cadet Officer first and then Volunteerism, it is not Volunteerism first and then Cadet Officer. I hope everyone is clear about this. The next issue I would like to bring up is about leadership. Ask yourselves, what is the meaning of "leadership" and the meaning of "leader". To me, leadership is the ability to lead and the act or instance of leading; guidance; direction. A leader on the otherhand is simply someone who leads and someone who carries out the act of leadership. I must stress that anyone can be a leader because in order for one to become a leader, he/she must have followers. If you looked "behind" you and you have people following you, then you are a leader. But if you see no one "behind" you then more likely you are a follower. For a successful team to work out, there has got to be a leader/facilitator/mentor (the one person who is solely in charge of the team's well-being and is neutral to all parties). To be appointed a leader by the leaders, he/she is chosen to uphold the legacy of the organisation and is expected to have a goal/vision for the organisation that he/she is going to lead. True Blue Leaders are Servants themselves. They have a heart for servanthood. For one to be great, one has to be small and be willing to do even the most filthiest and dirtiest job of all. But saying this, leaders are also not meant to be taken granted of or even taken advantage of. That is why, a member/follower who is supporting the leader is doing an honourable task. At the end of the day, I want to bring this message across, that being a leader is not easy and that there are many responsibilities to shoulder and burden. If one has been appointed a leader, the followers are expected to support/encourage the leader in charge for the betterment of the organisation. For all of the above I have typed, its all about positive leadership and not negative ones. I hope everyone understands them. Long Time No Blog...

Hey peeps, its been ages since i last blogged. Well, two weeks of holidays is coming to an end and school's starting tomorrow. Once again, its time to start setting new goals to achieve/accomplish. I have to say, its been a fruitful and well rested two weeks for me and i am looking forward to lessons tomorrow. However, i'm pretty sad. My blogshop is still not up yet. Lols. There's a lot of administrative issues that i have yet to tie down and lots of things not done up yet. Hence, im not able to launch the blogshop on time. Well, i guess for now, i have to put my agenda aside and help my girlfriend out with her blogshop first. Now that im no longer in NCC, its time to move on and i hope that by the end of this year, i would have done so much productive and fruitful things such as- 1. Spend more time with my family members and loved ones 2. Get good grades for my studies 3. Complete FT1 4. Bring 1 new friend to Christ 5. Pass my intermediate guitar course with flying colours 6. Complete my security training 7. Be more involved in Strikeforce and of course spend more time with the LORD! Yups yups. Thats all for now. Cya peeps!

Driving..!

Today has been a day of driving lessons for me. Three things that i got to always remember. 1. Check and look out for my blind spots before overtaking or changing lanes. 2. Stick to my lane and don't cut into other lanes unless i'm very sure that there are no cars. 3. Better to be slow and easy. (safety first) Darn. Almost got into a collision with another car, not just once but twice. =X I got to be more careful next time. God help me to be more watchful and careful! Amen!

Life is just so fragile..

2 weeks ago on a Saturday, i was with my cellgroup members at Sentosa. We were at Palawan Beach and were having our outreach. Yesterday, my brother's friend drowned at the sea at Sentosa. Yes indeed, when i reflected back, life is indeed just so precious and fragile. God bless their family. He is only 18 years old. And i am very sure his parents are very grieved right now and couldn't get over the fact that they have just lost a son. This has taught me a very real lesson. I have to learn and appreciate the people around me more. I have to learn to say I Love You to the many people around me. Life indeed is so unpredictable. Bad things do happen to good people and i pray that before i go to heaven, my parents will be saved and all my dreams and goals would have been accomplished. Until then, i pray that the LORD will not take me away so soon! The joy of the LORD is my strength.

Typical Singaporeans & Fire Red Ants

Hellos Everyone, i haven't been blogging in a bit due to the hectic lifestyle of projects and exams. In fact, i'm having my exams this whole entire week. My last paper would be this saturday. And after which, it would be a time of celebration and craziness. Hahas. Maybe, but not quite as i will be serving NCC for the upcoming SYF Opening Ceremony. Anyway, i just have to rant about this. --> Typical Singaporeans and Fire Red Ants 1. Typical Singaporeans (Part 1) When i was at the train station on Monday, an announcement over the PA says it loud and clear, "the train at the middle platform heading towards marina bay is not in service, please do not board the train and kindly wait for the next one." It was mentioned for at least two times and guess what, when the train arrived, people (quite a number) moved forward wanting to board the train when the doors were opened. In my mind, i was like 0.0'! This led to several conclusions which may or may not be true. a. they were deaf b. the announcement over the PA wasn't loud and clear enough c. they didn't understand what was announced over the PA d. they were simply ignorant of what was actually happening e. they monkey see monkey do (one person steps forward wanting to board and the rest followed suit) f. they don't know English The fact is this, i feel that people nowadays are simply too ignorant of what is happening around them. Either they are too busy with what they are doing, or they simply just can't be bothered. If people don't heed the announcement mentioned over the PA, what makes us think that fellow citizens would be vigilant against the threat of terrorism? Then, when something happens, everyone will point to the government and complain here and there. 1.1 Typical Singaporeans (Part 2) As i was on the train this morning heading home, there were many empty seats around and so i sat down and started playing my PSP and took a rest after which. At a particular station, groups of people started streaming in and so all the seats were filled up and all. As the beside me was empty, a lady came and sat down and another lady who apparently was together with her have no choice but to stand as there were no more seats. Guess what? Throughout the entire train journey till the time i reached my station, that lady who was standing and the lady who was beside me, stared at me. For what reason? I think it must be quite obvious. They wanted me to give up my seat. And what did i do? I continued with what i was doing. When i alighted at my station, the lady quickly scrambled to my seat. This led me to think about some stuffs. a. i have to say that i'm not selfish or anything that i did not want to give up my seat b. i feel that if someone wishes to have my seat, they are free to do so if they ask c. if there's an elderly or pregnant lady or children, i would have gladly given up my seat to them d. i don't deserve the gossips and stares from people Singaporeans are just so typical and loves to stereotype. But anyway, this is not the worst case i've ever experienced. I have heard of people who took out their camera phone and started shooting one particular lady who reluctantly gave up her seat. And for your information, that lady was reluctant to give up her seat because she was feeling unwell and wanted to have a rest. Then, some other lady came over and told her to give it up to an elderly. The tone she used was very boastful, as if she was the hero who saved the day by asking someone to give up the seat for the elderly. Some stuffs for you readers to think about: 1. a person may be reluctant to give up his/her seat because of many reasons. it may be because he/she is tired, sick or may even be doing some reading or writing. Whether he/she wishes to give up his/her seat is entirely up to his/her decision unless when it concerns the elderly, the pregnant, or children. 2. some people in order to have a seat, will take a train all the way to the end station and bounce back (i think you get what i mean). This is a sacrifice of his/her own personal time so that he/she can get a seat and i feel that he/she have the right to his/her seat unless once again, it concerns the elderly, the pregnant, or children. 3. hence, don't be unhappy about not getting a seat unless you ask someone personally for it. don't be an idiot and curse/gossip/stare at someone with a seat thinking that he/she knows that you want a seat. Yups. So much about typical Singaporeans. Well, now i shall talk about Fire Red Ants. 2. Fire Red Ants I was attending an outing with a group of church friends at Sentosa. We were BBQ-ing some food and then, i felt a stinging pain on my left and right foot. I looked down and noticed an army of what seemed like a few hundred ants. I quickly killed them and moved to another place, thinking that everything's alright. The very next day, parts of my foot swelled and it seemed as though i had mosquito bites. But nope, it was the result of the red ants which bit me. As of now, its still swelling and it itches even more when i merely touch it. So, moral of the story is, don't underestimate the power of the red ants. But thats not the point. If you ever get bitten by one, do apply calamine lotion to it and should you feel unwell, please do see a doctor as soon as possible as the bite from the red ants may result in a allergy and cause death. Yups. That's all for now!

Movies, movies & more movies!

Hi Everyone, its been such a long time since i last blogged. Maybe? Hahs. Anyway, for the entire of this week, i have caught three movies in total! The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda. So overall, it was an enjoyable time and also a well deserved break for me. From today onwards all the way till next week, I will be fully focusing on my exams and revision. Following which, will be my school holidays for 2 weeks where i will definitely make full use of the time to do meaningful activities. Over and over again, i will declare this: God is good and faithful all the time! Truly, i know that without Him in my life, i am nothing at all. If not for Him, i would not have gotten and become what I am today. Serving the LORD has always been my pleasure and honour and i will serve Him till the very end. Hi Everyone, its been ages since i last blogged. Anyway, most of my projects are down already except for one more to be submitted next Monday. Praise the LORD! It has really been a battle trying to juggle between projects and so many other things, but well, at least i'm glad that i pulled through. I feel so broke. Lols. Looks like i need to be more thrifty in my spending and save up more. Hopefully by next year, i'm able to get my van already. *Prays hard* Anyway, i will be selling off some stuffs of mine which i hardly use (some self-improvement books & textbooks). Hi Everyone, here I am going to blog again. Next week is going to come soon and man, time really flies. So many of my friends are like going into NS already while I'm still stuck with my studies. Oh well, I am going to make sure that I do well for my studies, get a good job in future and then be happy all the way man. I'm pretty drained out though. Because of all the projects and etc, its really giving me a bad time. Hahas. But wells, after this week and next week, it will be revision time till exams come. And then for all I know, it will be the HOLIDAYS! Yeappie yeah yeah! I really want to turn 21 soon man. Upon turning 21, I will want to set up my own business and then get my own vehicle. As of now, I'm like using my mum's car and well, there are times I can't use her car, especially when she's using it (like duh!) hahas. Oh wells, I have to save up as much as I can now to make sure I have enough money to buy my own van (FIAT? KANGOO? SUZUKI?). Lols. Yups. Guess I shall blog till here then. Take care people!

Projects, Projects and Projects... 0.0

Hellos Everyone, judging from my blog's entry title, you know I am surly going to blog about my projects. Hahas. Oh wells, one project down last week and hence, left with 4 more to go. In fact, this week, I have to submit like 3 projects. How cool is that eh? Tomorrow I will have to hand up and present my POA Project, which is 90% completed as of now. On Thursday, I will have to hand up and present my POC Project with my group, which is 70% completed as of now. And last but not least, on Friday, I will have to hand up and submit my Banquet Ops and Cost Control Project with my group, which is 85% complete as of now. I'm pretty calculative I must say. But when it comes to project, I have to be really serious especially when the deadlines are one after another. I do feel unfair at times because it seems that some of my classmates only have to hand in two projects this week and another 2 next week. But wells, this whole ordeal actually taught me to stretch my capacity even way further and to also learn to priortise my work too. With the nearing deadlines, it actually forces me to work even doubly hard and put in even greater effort and attention to my projects. Oh wells, guess I shall blog till here and stop ranting on about my projects any further! May God be with me this week! =)

Even though I have no POA background back in secondary school, I really want to thank God that I'm able to do so well for the paper. What An Eventful Week! =D

Hi Everyone, today is the last day of the week and hence, I shall blog about what has happened since the last post. So continuing from where I left since my previous post, my classmates gave me a surprise on Thursday, and yes, I was given a red packet. Its quite a huge amount and I really want to thank them for that because it has really helped me lighten some of my financial burdens, especially when there's Mother's Day, Cindy's Birthday and also my Mum's Birthday. And on top of that, there were no lessons on Friday and so I went out with my mum and youngest bro to Bugis Junction and had some fun time playing at the arcade. Then, I met up with Cindy and had an arguement. Come to think of it, it was really silly of me to have done that but oh wells, what turned out was a surprise from my cellgroup and also Benedict and Clement (my NCC buddies). So we had fun at the Minds Cafe playing games and doing forfeits and yes, I received another two presents, a Levi's white belt from Andy to match the black clothes that I always wear, and a PJ white top from Alvin (my bro). So incidentally, these two presents matched one another. Yups. Then yesterday, went to give Cindy a surprise as it was her birthday and well, mission failed. Cindy was sleeping when I was standing at the door with flowers on one hand, and a cake with lighted candles on the other hand. So, had to knock at her door until her mum came in to open the door for me to come in. Lols. But oh wells, what to do? Hahas. Then we headed down to KBox @ Marina Square to have a buffet dinner cum karaoke session with my family and also to celebrate my Uncle's Birthday and Cindy's Birthday as well. Yups. And Cindy received a white Solvil Titus watch from my mum. And today, headed down to Church early in the morning to serve. Quite an eventful day today as we celebrated Mother's Day in Church. It was definitely a heart-warming and touching moment time when members shared about their mothers and the love & concern their mothers showed towards them. The drama was also a sentimental one. After everything today, I was given another surprise by the brothers in the Security Ministry. They celebrated my birthday and gave me a white Casio watch. Yeah. Then met up with Cindy and the rest before heading home to do my revision for tomorrow's Banquet Operations & Management test and Productivities Studies test. So to sum it all up, I really want to thank God for such an eventful week where I have been so tremendously blessed. Yes, I feel really blessed. As I reflected upon this entire week, what really struck me the most was the love that have been showered into my life by so many people and also of course the LORD. Most of the items I've received were white in colour and I believe that God was speaking to me through this colour. Just as I had made mistakes in the past, the LORD was just and merciful towards me and had compassion on me. So great was the love of God that He washes away my sins as white as snow and remembers them no more. As I journey on in life, the LORD will be my Shepherd and Guide. He will always be my Encourager, a Father and more than a Friend to me. As I step out in faith to do great and mighty things for God, I repent from my disobedience and begin on this journey to adulthood, to become a more responsible, accountable, faithful, and committed man. Jesus, I love You because You first loved me!

Hi Everyone! Yes, I am here to blog about my 20th birthday which is going to be over soon in 49 mins time as of the time I am typing this blog entry. Well, today is quite an eventful day for me even though the starting of the day was a bit so not happening. I woke up at 7AM today, prepared myself and was using the computer. Then my mum called me up. Mum: Eh, today birthday boy don't need to go school arh? The school today holiday because today is your birthday arh? Me: No la. I start my lesson at 1045 today mahs. So yeah, that explains why I can afford to wake up at 7AM today. If not, I would have woke up at 5:30AM already. Lols. Then after which, headed down to school and nothing much really happened except for the fact that Izzat was trying to grind me, which I feel pretty disgusted by it. =) But then again, it's all part and parcel of being "sabotaged" by my own fellow classmates. Initially, I brought along an extra shirt in case my classmates played pranks on me but I guess they forgo the idea when they faced the problem of lack of manpower as half the class was not around. Then when lessons ended, the class sang a birthday song for me and I left with Chee Fun, Izzat, Sarah, Molly, Chia Her, Joyce and Christina. Yups. As I was supposed to meet Cindy up and she told me that she would be late, I headed to KFC with my classmates and then Sarah said she wanted to go to Popular to get her calender planner. At that moment, Sarah then headed to the 2nd level Swensen and I felt that something was amiss. True enough, sitting at Swensen's at a long table were Alex, Kenneth, Shammima, Lili, Chia Her, Christina, Joyce and Chee Fun with an ice-cream cake. At a loss for words, I could not really express my gratitude and I felt really blessed to have such awesome friends. But also, not forgetting Cindy (my one and only). She was the mastermind behind all this planning and coordination with my classmates and that was how we celebrated my birthday in the end. Yups. After which, we dismissed and Cindy and I went to catch the Harold and Kumar movie at Cineleisure Orchard. Its a really funny movie and if you are thinking of catching a movie that lets your hair down, this is one movie not to be missed. Of course, this movie has a shortcoming. Its rated M18 because there are loads of nudity scenes and if you aren't offended by the sexual content of it, then do catch it! Overall, I would say its a day well spend and I have two more added birthday gifts to my list. One, a book from Shammima and Kenneth. Its about the lost tomb of Jesus and when i opened up my present and saw the book, my first reaction was like WOW! And second, a laptop backpack from Cindy. Its something that I longed for and something that I can use it for school and I felt really blessed to have such a loving and understanding girlfriend. I *hearts my girlfriend so so much! =D Again, the birthday gifts will definitely continue to come in except that I don't know what other tricks the people around me have, up in their sleeves. So I just got to cross my fingers and pray that everything will be fine. Hahas. So yups. Shall blog till here then!

Principles of Communication Test

Hello! Obviously this post is not entirely about my Principles of Communication (POC) Test. Hahas. But well, I had POC test today and I have to admit, its really very tough. Though i managed to do 75% of the questions, there were some questions which I didn't know how to attempt at all.

And guess what? The POC exam is going to be 5 times harder than the test itself! Gees, and POC is a 3 pointer module!

Oh wells. Tomorrow will be my birthday and I have gotten a preview of what's going to happen in class. Eeks! I just got to pray for the best. Lols.

And this Saturday is Cindy's birthday. And what have I got installed? Well, just some surprises here and there bahs. Hahas.

Hello Everyone,

I understand that I have been missing in action for the last few months. But good news, I am back to blog again.

Any thing interesting happened while I was away? Yes, and loads too.

Well, my attachment at the Restaurants are over and I am back to Campus for now till July 2009. Yups, so for now, I gotta mug hard for the rest of my modules. Currently, I am doing Principles of Accounting, Principles of Communication, Productivity Studies, Banquet Operations and Management, Food and Beverage Cost Control and English Comprehension. Pretty loaded this term but I pray hard that I will still be able to maintain my academic standard.

Also, for those of you who don't know yet, I passed my driving test! Hahas. Yups. I finally can drive around already. Thank God! And also, I have been attached to my darls for more than a year already. Though there were loads of ups and also downs, I really thank God for our relationship. Besides God Himself, I'm sure no one else knows me better than Cindy.

What else? Let me think for awhile... .... my birthday is coming soon and Cindy's as well. I am not sure what is going to happen during my actual birthday but my cellgroup has already celebrated my birthday last Friday during cellgroup meeting and I received a book as a gift.

Besides a book, I have received loads of other blessings as well. Cards, Increment in allowance, Electronic Drumset... and more to come. And yes, went out with Cindy's parents yesterday to the Singapore Flyer to celebrate our birthdays. Quite cool actually and really had fun. Hahas. Great dinner as well. We had seafood (crabs, clams, and a whole bunch of other goodies). =)

And and and... ... I just joined the Security Ministry. =D. Yups. I will still be involved in Strikeforce as well. Having resigned from my part-time job at New York New York, I will be able to attend training sessions soon!

Hi Everyone, its been such a long long time since i last blogged. How's life for me? Well, I have already finished my attachment at Charcoal and currently doing my attachment at Rosette. I will be having my practical examination next week, so pray for me yeah? =) Other than attachment, I have also been involved in Church, NCC, and also spending quality time with my family & Cindy. Yups. Anyway, a reply from me to the taggers on my tagboard Raudah --> Hey, its been ages eh since i last saw you with Jia Hui. Hahas. Hope you're doing fine in your studies and of course your love life. Solihin --> Hey, sorry for the late reply yeah. Haha. Glad to see you at Charcoal the other time too. Catch you soon! Yups, so that's all for now. So now, I am gonna blog about my encounter with a really extremely rude officer. This was what happened: Here I am, trying to catch up with my fellow friends to head over to the MPH to catch the Cohesion Nite performances. So while we were at the staircase talking to one another, a group of female Cadets came up. Thinking that it was pretty normal as it was usual for people to book into camp during that period of time, we just continue to walk until I was interrupted. Here goes the following conversation: Unknown Boy: CADET CAPTAIN! Me: *silent* Unknown Boy: Do you need me to greet you first or do you greet me? Me: *Assuming that he may be an Officer*, No Sir. Unknown Officer: Which district are you from? Me: East, Sir. Unknown Officer: What's your name? Me: Melvin, Sir. Unknown Officer: Same name, what a disgrace! After which, we continued on walking over to the MPH, but in my heart, i was feeling pretty bitter over this issue. My first thoughts were: 1. Who was he to demand respect from me? 2. He wasn't even in his proper uniform for me to recognise that he's an officer. 3. He is rude. 4. He has no respect for people. 5. He's a loser.... a big one at that. So after which, a few of my fellow friends also got into some problems with him over some bunking issues as well. That was when we found out some additional information as well. 1. His name is Melvin. 2. He is a NCC Captain Teacher Officer of a really well known school, "Some Jumping Ice". 3. He was from the 31st CLT Course. My conclusion and after thoughts? Well, let bygones be bygones. It is not the first time I have come across rude and unruly people. Sometimes, i feel that they really ought to be slapped in the face for their actions. But then again, it tells me of their upbringing and how they live their life as well. After all, humans are not perfect right? So well, another loser coming along my way shouldn't make my life miserable and difficult as they are just someone who has got nothing better to do than to look down at other people. Peace out!

Hey everyone, its been days since i last blogged. Anyway, Chinese New Year was totally awesome. Went visiting around and had a bountiful harvest. Whether or not what i received was more or less than what i have gotten last year, it really doesn't matter to me. I am really happy to be blessed! Seeing my relatives, grandparents, and friends makes me feel happy too! Anyway, i'm sick as of a few days ago. Hahs. And yes, its during the Chinese New Year period as well. Had this throbbing headache, bad sorethroat and two gigantic ulcers on my lip. So it was pretty awful. But well, thank God, because now i just have a slight fever, and currently recovering from the above-mentioned. Valentine's Day is coming up and Chingay as well. Can't wait for it i must say. Hahas. After this entire week, it will be a time/period of mini rest for me because there won't be any big events for now. So yups. And yesterday, my relatives all came over to my place for dinner and Cindy came as well. I wasn't feeling too good because of the high fever i was having. So well, in the end, everyone came to know about it, and they really treated me well. Covering the blanket for me, wiping my body for me and etc etc. I mean, i was really so touched by what Cindy and Alvin were doing for me, and as well as the concern of the others who were there. I guess, what i had experienced was a portion of God's love for me as well. Imagine, how great God's love can be when His love for all of us is infinite. Yups. Well, tomorrow i will have to go back to work and reach by 7. How sad eh? Hahas. Oh wells, i hope that by tomorrow, i will feel even much better and get ready for Chingay and Valentine's Day. Taxi.. Sighs

Hi all, as stated on the title of this entry, i am going to blog about taxis in Singapore from my own personal point of view.

My friend takes the taxi everyday, to and fro home and Charcoal. As such, i will always hitch a ride from him especially since i stay near him. To Charcoal, there will always be plenty of empty taxis around. But from Charcoal, there will always be plenty of empty taxis but 95% of which with the on-call sign shown.

Now that makes me ponder. The taxi association has stated that there are more than enough taxis on the road to meet consumer demands. But how come, i still see long queues at the taxi stands in TOWN?

Shouldn't there be more taxis in town more than anywhere else? And mind you, its not just one taxi stand with long queues, but its practically every taxi stands in town that had long queues. There were plenty of taxis but most with the on-call sign shown.

Maybe you must be thinking that many people called and booked for the taxis thats why there are many on-call taxis. But seriously speaking, out of the corner of my eye, i watched this comfort taxi going to and fro the area that we were waiting WITH the on-call sign.

You mean to tell me that the taxi driver could not find the person who booked the taxi? Obviously, he was waiting for the chance to get a booking so that he can earn an additional $3.50. Yes, perhaps this happens frequently on weekdays at night. But really, using such ways and means to earn $3.50 is too much.

If you don't call a taxi and make a booking, you may even need to wait for more than 30 minutes just to get a taxi. I even witness this situation whereby this taxi driver does not have his on-call sign lighted, and this guy on the street was waving for him and yet ignore him despite the fact that it was so obvious.

Another scenario was when this taxi driver saw a passenger waving for him, drives to him, and then drives away without even talking to/picking up the passenger.

To take a taxi in town area at night on weekdays, be prepared to pay $2.80 (flag down rate) + $3.00 (CBD surcharge) + $3.50 (booking fee) = $9.30 excluding the ERP Charges along the way and the meter fare to your destination.

So think twice before getting a taxi. I feel that its more worth it to take a bus or a train instead.

I guess its enough of ranting about taking taxis in Singapore. I feel that the relevant authorities should step out and do something about this issue before it affects the image of Singapore pretty badly especially when you have tourists touring the city at night and whom definitely requires a taxi to travel around.

Below is the taxi fare charges for SMRT Taxis, which is similar to the rest of the taxi service providers such as Comfort, Transcab, and etc.

Is this my 9th post? Hahas, i don't really know but anyway, i last blogged on 20th Jan, which is like 10 tens ago to be exact. Pretty a long time i guess. Well for me, nothing much has been going on except that i'm pretty held up with my attachment at the moment. Pretty tiring i would say especially when Charcoal has only 2 shifts. I sure do hope there will be 3 shifts during my attachment to Rosette. I haven't been going back to NCC but hopefully i'll be back in February or March, provided my schedule permits it. Indeed, there are so much things that i hope to do but lack the resources. I'm really praying for a breakthrough in my finances to do greater works! Yups. I guess that's all i have for now. Nothing much to blog about though. Hahas. I suppose i should change my blog to a picture blog. Lol. =P

its been eons sinced i last blogged. Couldn't really find the time to blog especially when my attachment is a 6 days work week. For this week, i am working the night shift, from 3PM to 11PM.

So far, attachment is alright. I have learnt alot about food operations ever since i have been attached to Charcoal Restaurant. Yups. I can't wait for Chinese New Year to come. Then i will be able to take a long long break from work. Hahas.

A Long Long Week Indeed..

Hiya people, time to blog again. Its 7.44 in the morning now. I guess i can only find time to blog in the morning and seriously speaking, i hardly even have time for myself ever since my attachment and work started. My typical schedule goes like this, my attachment starts from 7am to 3pm and my work from 4.30pm to 10.30pm. If not, my attachment starts from 3pm to 11pm and my work from 10am to 2pm. Which will mean that i am on the move at most 14 hours and at minimum 12 hours daily (yes daily, excluding Sunday). Not that i wish to rant on and on, but i just need to, you know, share about it on my blog. This kind of schedule will go on for the next 80 days to be exact. Hopefully by then, i will be able to have a good rest, fulfill my building fund, get my driving license and save up for a drumset. Yups yups. Alrights then. Shall blog till here!

It's been a long tiring week..

Hey peeps, its been a week since i last blogged. This week has been a really long and tiring week for me. I started my restuarant attachment since 31 December 2007 and will finish my attachment in 3 months time. Seriously speaking, after being attached to the restaurant, i have learnt alot, and i do mean alot! Though the restaurant is not so packed and busy most of the time, i am sure it will be in a few weeks time due to the upcoming event catering. Through this attachment, i even got the opportunity to serve lunch to the ministers, and also MPs. Hence, this really boosted confidence in myself and motivated me to strive even better. As of now, i am also currently working part-time at QQ Rice at Plaza Singapura. Because my attachment is such that i will have to work either the lunch shift or the dinner shift, this actually allows me to have some spare time to work and earn some extra pocket money. Yes it is tiring to be working the whole day and then prepare for the next day. A lot of sacrifices have to be made. But, with the extra pocket money, i can go get my driving license, clear my building fund pledge, and perhaps save up for an electronic drumset (why electric? because my room has space constraints and my parents/neighbours won't be able to tolerate the noise i would produce) Yups. Hopefully, i will be able to get used to this kind of lifestyle for the next 3 months and then resume my normal lifestyle after my attachment. =D. And yes, i know this is random, but i love my darls so so much! She makes me feel so special! Till then!

2nd Post for the Day

Alrights, here goes my 2nd post for the day. Things done today? Well, i went to Comfort Driving Centre and opened up an account. On 3 Jan 2008, i will be beginning my first driving lesson with a new driving instructor and a new driving environment. I heard that Ubi is a very challenging place to drive but either way, i shall give it a try. Then, i also went to look around for some part-time jobs that are flexible in their hours. As of now, i have emailed a few companies my resume and i hope that my emails will be responded and that i will be able to secure a part-time job by the start of next year. I didn't got the chance to meet up with Zhen Zhao and Kenny because of the above that had happened. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Cell. I am really looking forward to it. Plans for tomorrow? --> Well the job search is still ongoing until i land a job. Hahas. Anyone have any jobs to introduce to me? Location wise, preferable in town. Pay wise, i'm not that particular about it. Ok then, shall blog till here!

Hi Everyone, Today is Friday the 28th of December. Plans for the day? 1. Book my driving practical test date. I am going to give it another shot. Having met up with my uncle yesterday afternoon. He kinda knocked some sense into me. I wanted to give up halfway because of financial commitments and the lack of time. This time round, i'm sponsored to learn and i am not going to give up. I will be more serious in learning and make sure that i pass my test the next round. 2. Head out to meet up with Zhen Zhao and Kenny to get some gifts. 3. Find a job in town. As i will be beginning my attachment on the 31st of December. It's time i find a job to earn some spare cash and lighten the loads of my parents and also be able to fulfill the building fund pledge that i have made. Giving guitar lessons will be my passion still and will always be. Yups. That's all for the day! Praise the LORD and Praise Him FOREVERMORE!

Back From China

Hi Everyone, i am finally back from China after a long break. It's been a great time in China and the weather there was really freezing cold. Had fun there and enjoyed myself. Beautiful scenery and great companions made the trip an unforgettable one. I have yet to upload the photos into my computer, so once i am done with the uploading process, i perhaps might put it up for all to see. Too much things to elaborate about the trip so i guess the pictures shall do the job. Yups. So that's all about my China trip. Seriously speaking, i am really physically drained. Tired after such a long day. I haven't had a wink after arriving Singapore at 6am in the morning. I'm frustrated! I feel so emotionally drained as well. I don't even have time for myself to reflect and think about life sometimes. When i really have time to do so, somehow or rather, this little time i have with myself will be taken away by what i call commitments. Be it whether i'm showering, having a meal, reading a book, playing the guitar or listening to music, a call will come, my MSN messenger will nudge, my doorbell will ring, an email will be sent, sms will come. Tell me, where is the silence i need so much in my life just to ponder and think about life? Yes, it's not all about me, myself and i. A relationship is one where two are joined together. It needs communication, trust, love, compassion, humility, courage and rest. But really, i don't feel the peacefulness in my soul and spirit. I feel as if i need to do so much just to keep relationships going. Communicate almost everyday. Meet up almost everyday. Ask the people around me, and most of them who are in a relationship will say that communicating and meeting up even 2 times a week is considered a luxury. It's like a vicious cycle. Not that i don't wish to speak up. But everytime when i'm silent, i listen. I listen with intense to every words that is spoken. Problems, encouragements and answers will pour to my ears and i listen with intense. When i don't speak, it does not mean that i'm tired, bored, uninterested, or not listening. At times i am observing as well. Sometimes, i asked myself these questions after communicating with others. I will ask myself, "Am i always the one talking during the conversation?", "How come he/she is so silent during the conversation?", "Did i talk a lot during the conversation?", "Was the conversation all about me, myself, and i?", "Did i know/learnt and gain a deeper understanding of that person after the conversation?". Of course somehow or rather, not all questions are pondered about all the time. At times, we need to do a self check-up on ourselves and ask these questions, "Am i thinking too much?", "Why do i feel this way, is it because i lack the assurance and security?", "How can i solve my problems, who can i look to?" I feel as if i'm chained like a prisoner. No, its not freedom that i seek. But rather, i seek peace and silence. Not all the time, but at times. Why? Because everyone and everything needs a time to rest, to heal, to recuperate, to repair, to fix and to strengthen. I tried my every best effort to accomodate. To try and reassure. To care and to communicate. No matter what may come my way, i really gave in my best. My phone bill may go up. But still i try to communicate even when i'm away. My family may not be happy that i don't spend time with them, but still i try to meet up even when family dinners are so precious to me. You asked, "Where am i in your heart?" I say, "Always have been right here always!" I hope this answers the doubt.

Hi Everyone, i am here to blog. Cellgroup meeting yesterday was really awesome. We really had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves totally. Then today's meeting went on rather successful as well. I was in a rush to head down to HQ and settle some admin issues before the meeting started, and as a result, totally forgotten about my beret and camp pass. But oh wells. Hahas. Overall the meeting ended well. And as for tomorrow, i will be heading off to China (North-Eastern Part) on a midnight fly with Air China. I will be away for 10 days and as a result, won't be around online unless i manage to get my hands on the internet over there. Do pray for my family for journey mercy too! Thanks! 1st Post..!

Hi Everyone! This is my first post on this new URL. Why the change? Apparently my previous blog was deleted. I don't know how it got deleted and i don't wish to find out as well. So now that i got my new blog up and running, i guess its time to start posting new entries! This week of mine is filled with exams. I have got 4 papers and i am done with 3 papers. One more last paper to go on Friday. I have got nothing on tomorrow, so will be heading for a movie with darls and after which, give guitar lessons. Then on Friday, after my last paper, i would be heading home, get changed and then head down for cellgroup. This week we will be having an XMAS Party! Sounds really exciting. I'm kinda looking forward to it. And on Saturday, i will be having a meeting with my district. Yups. I am stepping down from my position of District OIC and will be handing it over to my successor. Hearing updates about changes to the NCC stirs my heart up. I am really looking forward to the change and all. Hopefully by then, i will still be able to commit for NCC because my school schedule often clashes with the events that is going on in HQ. Then on Sunday, i will be flying off to China for a 10-days holiday trip with my family. Sadly, this is the first time i am not spending XMAS with my darls and also in church with my friends! But oh wells, there is still the thanksgiving to look forward to! This December is definitely one of the best months i ever had. So many exciting stuffs to look forward to before the end of 2007 comes to a close. And yes, i will be starting my restuarant attachement @ Charocoal Restuarant (situated at the Treasury Building, beside Funan Mall) on the 31 December 2007 (New Year Eve)! Hees!
